I am Claire, and I founded Divergent Pathways. Not from a career in healthcare, but from something far more personal. From years spent in the thick of it, advocating, researching, pushing back against systems that were not working, and watching the people I love most struggle to get the support they needed and deserved.
My son was unable to attend school. What followed was a battle for answers, for understanding, for the right provision, and it is a battle that is still ongoing. At the same time, I have spent years fighting for my brother, who is disabled, feeling the devastating impact that inadequate support at times has had not just on him but on our whole family.
Those experiences are what led me to create Divergent Pathways. Too many families are navigating this alone. Too many neurodivergent young people and adults are being seen through a lens of deficit rather than difference. And too many parents, carers and partners are burning out without anyone asking how they are doing or what help they need
What I offer
I offer coaching, support, tools and resources for neurodivergent young people and adults, and for the parents, carers and partners who support them. My approach 100% is strengths based and affirming. I start from the person in front of me, their experience, their strengths and their goals, and I work from there.
I am currently training as a qualified neurodivergent coach, bringing that professional foundation together with years of lived experience to create something that is both credible and genuinely human, built on diversity and strengths meeting people where they are and not simply where they are expected to be.
